The Baltic Science Academies’ Medal 2023

According to the decision of the Medal awarding competition commission, the Medal of the Baltic Science Academies in 2023 is awarded to:

Academician Dr. Jūras Banys (Lithuania) for strengthening cooperation between the academies of sciences in the Baltic region, and for his outstanding scientific achievements in physics.

Academician Dr. Baiba Rivža (Latvia) for strengthening cooperation between the Baltic Academies of Sciences, and outstanding research achievements in economics.

Dr. Arvi Hamburg (Estonia) for the substantial contribution to energy transition and for the shaping future energy policy for the entire Baltic region.

The awarding ceremony will take place on the second day of the 18th Baltic Conference on Intellectual Cooperation, on April 21, at 13.30 in the Portrait Hall of the Latvian Academy of Sciences.
